How To Install Loops Into Garageband » GarageBand Loop Browser

    Hey All, when I move my Apple Loops to an external drive, delete the index files, then locate the folders on my hard drive and drag and drop the folders into the area of the loop browser in GarageBand a window drops down saying reindexing but then in the window that lists the types of loops (i.e. Vinyl, Beats……) I don’t see options to choose from unless I drop a single file into the browser. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Is it ok to drop and extension folder (library/apple loops/my loops) into the browser or do I have to drop the folder that holds the files (my loops) into the browser? I’ve done both and have gotten no type of result.

    Any help would be very helpful. Thanks All.

      ON your external drive, you will have to just drop the folders that have loops in them into the browser, then you should see the folder in which you dropped ie Vinyl Beats . do it by library so each folder is shown in the drop down, if you have a drive full of loops in separate folders it makes it more difficult since they are not organize. .
