Stacey Blades – Guitar Loops

Soundtrack Loops is proud to be working with such an accomplished guitarist as Stacey Blades of famed Rock band L.A. Guns. Blades’ amazing guitar skills will be available soon.

With L.A. Guns, Blades has shared the bill with Alice Cooper, Whitesnake, The Scorpions, Dokken, Skid Row, Warrant, and more. He’s been around the world, on the bill of many prestigious music festivals including M3 (of which a live show DVD was released in January 2013). Blades has also been in every music magazine including Rolling Stone, Spin, Metal Edge, and Premier Guitar.
In April 2009, Blades wrote and published a very revealing, and often-humorous autobiography, “Snake Eyes: Confessions of a Replacement Rock Star”. The book received high marks from fans all over the world. In 2010, Blades also released his first ever solo instrumental album, “Symphonic Slam”. It is a remarkable collection of rocked-out classical compositions by Strauss, Bach, Handel, and even Beethoven.
At the end of 2012, Blades left L.A. Guns to pursue more personal opportunities for performing and songwriting. He is currently collaborating with SixString, the guitar community app, and creating guitar-based soundbites for TV, film, and audio mixes with Soundtrack Loops. He can also be seen playing live with The HardRock AllStars.

NAMM – Day 2

The NAMM Show 2013 Day 2. Arriving slightly after 1 pm, our first stop was the basement floor. We came up to a both of some amazing hyper realistic art of ZZ Top, Rolling Stones and an amazing portrait of Mick Jagger with some sepia tones. Our eyes then turned to Misti Butler VP of sales for Atlas Apps based out of Denver Colorado. Their featured app is called Rock School and it teaches you the basic of music theory in a very intuitive way. We were very glad to meet Misti and see this App and though how great this is for any one who wants to learn the taught basics of music theory. you can find more at www.myatlasapps.com.

Next stop is Chromatik. Chromatik is a sheet music collaboration app tool (think of Evernote, but for sheet music.) It allows you to make notes and adjustments while your other musician collaborator will automatically have the changes synced to their app to update or keep the changes.

KeynoteStar was our third stop and met two very nice guys who created a guitar app called Guitar Max which is free to download. They built this app mainly for the iPad and allows you to comfortably strum and create chords at a perfect hand position. The other really cool feature was the ability to ready your finger input for the chords . As long as your fingers were in the proper form for that chord you will be able to play it even if you did not touch the correct strings.

Namm – Day 1

Day one of the NAMM show 2013 began tuesday night. We arrived just as the dusk was turing into night. As we walked from our hotel rooms a newly renovated pavilion greeted us, Something just felt very magical about coming up to the convention and seeing the many improvements to the grounds. Thats it for now. We are off to meet with the Beatport people for some taco’s

NAMM – Getting Ready!

We are packing up our tablets, laptops, phones and are walking shoes. A flight from Denver to L.A., a trip to rental car agency, a night out with friends and, then we are on our way to Anaheim, CA for this year’s The NAMM Show 2013. The excitement is in the air in our preparations.

Each year the Soundtrack Loops team has been visiting ” The NAMM Show ” for press and for our own music gear geek-dom.

We will be blogging and posting pictures. If your there hopefully you’ll stop by and say hi. Look for red shoes. 🙂

Politics and Dubplate Techtonics

One of our user submitted videos fron Videographer and editor Ryan H. Ryan from Brooklyn N.Y. Created this Video parody of Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney Presidential candidates for this upcoming U.S. Presidential Elections in 2012. Ryan H. video was crafted for the popular website Jest.com

Ryan H. used loops from Dubplate Techtonics to create the rap audio track with the Soundtrack Pro audio software by Apple. Watch the video below and share.
